According to the Decree of the Head of the region Rustem Khamitov, in 2016 in the republic there take place the actions devoted to the 100 anniversary since the birth of public and the politician person of republic Midhat Shakirov.

Today in Ufa, in honor of its anniversary is opening of the "Midhat Zakirovich Shakirov and His Era" exhibition. The exposition is provided in the National museum of RB - in this building Midhat Zakirovich worked at a position of the first secretary of the Bashkir regional committee of the CPSU.

"This person has devoted the life to the people and the republic. He has passed a long way from the ordinary engineer, to the eminent person of the republic. It is important to emphasize that today at this building there is a spirit of Shakirov time" - the director of the National museum Galy Valiullin said in the speech.

The welcoming speech was declaimed by the deputy head of Administration of the city district Ufa, Syntimir Bayazitov: "Dear residents and guests of the capital, today is really significant day in scales of all republic, we celebrate anniversary of the outstanding personality, head, business executive, engineer Midhat Shakirov. He has brought a huge contribution in development of the city and the republic, today we see everything that has been put at that time. On perpetuating of this great person work is going on, and within the anniversary we are going to open the square of Shakirov in the downtown. We have to remember and store the great heritage".

A. A. Fokin, the research associate of department of history, edge of the National museum of RB told about how the exposition was created: "The exhibition prepared for a long time, since February of this year. Firstly we studied the materials provided by his son, Rifkat Midkhatovich, then made copies of photos of his book, and lifted up our archives; further the National archive of the Republic of Bashkortostan joined the work. And following the results of joint operation we managed to expand an exhibition from six tablets to ten".

Right after opening of an exhibition there took place the book presentation "The first secretary of regional committee M. Z. Shakirov" of Z. Biisheva “Kitap” publishing house. All 100 copies provided on an action were bought right there by the former colleagues, contemporaries, and his followers. The group of 25 people worked on the book.
