On August 18, 2022 the National Museum of the Republic of Bashkortostan hosted the grand opening of the exhibition "Land saturated with honey". The exposition is held as part of the Year of the Cultural Heritage of the Peoples of Russia and on the eve of the opening of the ApiMir international honey forum, which will bring together beekeepers from all over the world in September 2023.

The main event of the opening of the exhibition was the presentation of a copy of the unique engraving "Bashkir Hives" from the collections of the British Museum, dated 1788-1806. According to the source, the engraving is described as “two men with guns standing in the woods, one pointing to structures hanging from a canopy above, behind to the left a bear is climbing up a tree to a beehive, and a figure behind the tree is preparing to bring it down with a bow and arrow, framing the image; illustration from Dr. John Trasler's book.

The exhibition presents books and periodicals about beekeeping in the 18th-early 20th centuries, beekeeping products, different varieties of honey, ancient and modern beekeeping equipment, paintings by the original artist Konstantin Tregubov, photographs of cosmonauts with autographs and words of gratitude for Bashkir honey, rare souvenirs and old photographs of Bashkir beekeepers from the personal collection of Rishat Galeev, as well as exhibits from the Iglinsky district.

The exhibition "Land saturated with honey" will run until September 18, 2022.
