Today, residents and guests of the city in bright original costumes walked through the center of Ufa. A column of representatives of different nations living in Bashkortostan: Bashkirs, Russians, Tatars, Chuvash, Poles, Ukrainians and other ethnic groups walked to Vatan Park, to the center of events of the Heart of Eurasia festival. Foreigners in authentic costumes also joined the parade - these are participants of the Bermlek - Commonwealth festival (representatives from India, Vietnam, Senegal, Chile, Sri Lanka, Kazakhstan, etc.). The guests from the Orenburg region, the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug-Ugra, the Perm Territory also arrived at the holiday.
Note that the youngest participant in the procession is 1 year and 7 months old, and the oldest is 80 years old today.
“This is a big and beautiful project that we carry out every year on a large scale. We are always glad to see among the collectives simple citizens of the republic in the costumes of their ancestors, or in costumes made by their own hands. Taking part in such a procession is something incredible, a year ago, when I walked in a parade and was in a round dance that hit the book of Russian records, I experienced feelings that are impossible to convey. The idea of the festival is to feel part of something big and positive, ”said Bashkortostan Culture Minister Amina Shafikova with us.
According to the director of the House of Friendship of the Peoples of the Republic of Belarus, Azat Ibrahimov, despite the fact that some residents of the city sent applications for participation in the parade in advance, today many have joined the holiday in a free order.
The celebration of the national costume ended with a round dance of friendship, and the next project, the Marathon festival “Songs of Russia”, started at the site.
