In Sterlitamak, the opening of the photo exhibition "World Folklore - 2016" took place. At the opening ceremony of the exhibition were the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Bashkortostan Amina Shafikova, the head of the city administration Sterlitamak RB Vladimir Kulikov. The photo exhibition "World Folklore - 2016" will be held in all 63 municipalities of the republic, and will end in the end of 2018.

The exposition presents photos that tell about the World Folklore, held in Mexico from July 28 to August 7, 2016, about the participation of the cultural delegation of Bashkortostan in the festival events in Zacatecas, the cultural forum Mexico Festival CIOFF in Werkruz, the gala concert in the capital of Mexico, Mexico City.
 
In connection with the World Folklore Festival in Bashkortostan in 2020, the republic is actively working on the preparation and holding of a large-scale forum. The exhibition introduces the inhabitants of Bashkortostan with the ethno-cultural and folkloric traditions of the peoples of the world, as well as with the activities of the International Council of Organizations of Folklore Festivals and Traditional Arts CIOFF.
