The premiere of the play "Ural Batyr" based on the legendary Bashkir epic will be held in the Bashkir State Drama Theater named after M. Ghafuri. The premiere is scheduled for December 13 and 14. The author of the performance, the director is People’s Artist of Russia Andrei Borisov.

Today, the theater held a press conference where journalists were able to ask questions and find out details about the upcoming premiere - “Ural Batyr”. The speakers were the artistic director of the theater, Oleg Khanov, and the production director, Andrey Borisov.

The name of Andrei Borisov is widely known in the cultural space of the country, it is associated with the process of spiritual revival and development of the art of the peoples of Yakutia and Eurasia. Andrei Savvich staged more than 50 performances in Yakutia, including the Yakut epos “Olonkho” - each of them became a special event.

    “In order to take up the interpretation of the greatest material, Andrei Savvich came to us. Working with such a master is a great experience for our theater, ”said Oleg Zakirovich. - I looked at the rehearsals and am in an exciting mood. Not only on the content of the play, but also on how everything turns out. ”

Work on the performance began in August of this year, then the production director admitted that it would not be easy to translate all the power of the epic into a performance, but today Andrei Savvich assures that the production will not leave anyone indifferent. Professionals work on the embodiment of the epic: director Firgat Garipov (Ufa), artist Mikhail Egorov (Yakutia), costume designer Sardana Fedotova (Yakutia), the composer Ural Idelbaev is responsible for the musical component of the play. Also work choreographer Ramiz Mukhametshina, director of video content Ekaterina Rafay, video content artist Nikita Vitol.

    “It is a special honor for me to work on such a truly great epic of the Bashkir people, and that the theater entrusted me with such a great work. The epos “Ural Batyr” contains so many topics that can be revealed, however, by the centenary of the republic, I decided to update the theme of the unity of such things as kurai, the Bashkir people and nature, embodied in a magic stick”, - Andrei Savvich shared.

The author of the performance notes that the magic staff works only in clean hands, only a person with bright thoughts can own it, which Ural Batyr becomes on the scene of the tower.

The director noted that the decision to connect the archaic nature of the epos with modern technologies came as a result of a search for an accessible language - so that the play would be loved by schoolchildren and young people as well. “It will be an unexpected junction of technologies and an ancient epic,” said Borisov.

Almost the whole theater troupe is engaged in the performance, the role of the Urals will be performed by the winner of the Republican Youth Prize named after S. Babich Rinat Baymurzin, Shulgen - Ruslan Khaisarov, Samrau - People’s Artist of the Republic of Belarus, laureate of the S. Yulaev State Prize Hurmatulla Utyashev, Khomay - Gulnaz Khaysarova, Honored Artist of the RB Irek Bulatov will embody the villain Kakhkah on the scene.

Recall, the performance is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the republic and the centenary of the theater itself. In the history of the theater, this is already the second appeal to the epic “Ural Batyr”. The first production was carried out by director R.Khakimov in 2006.
