State Academic Folk Dance Ensemble of F. Gaskarov is preparing a new dance dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the formation of the Republic of Bashkortostan. On the eve of Ufa, rehearsals were held with choreographer-director, professor of the choreography department of the Samara State Institute of Culture Alexei Shishkin. According to the GAANT team, this is not the first experience of their cooperation. Alexey Pavlovich is the stage director of the dances “Kalinka”, “Tver festivities”, “Ural freaks”, which are included in the modern repertoire of the ensemble.

    “Most often Russia appears to be associated with dolls, with balalaika and so on. This is what is censored. Here I would like to show all the same a little different Russia. A bit different Russia, where there is the culture of the principality, and the culture of the nobility, and at the same time we have not moved away from the common people. There is a combination of several layers, several social layers, which interact wonderfully with each other, ”says Alexey Shishkin.

Work on the dance will be completed by the 100th anniversary of the republic, in March 2019. Ufimtsy will be able to see him in April at a solo concert dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Faizi Gaskarov Folk Dance Ensemble.
