On the eve of a grandiose event entitled “CIOFF® Dances and Music of the Word”, dedicated to the preservation of the intangible heritage and cultural diversity of countries and regions from different parts of the world, was held in Paris at UNESCO Headquarters with the assistance of the International Council of Folklore and Traditional Arts Festival Organizers Russia presented the Folklore Ensemble of Song and Dance "Miras" of the city of Ufa. Dance and music groups from Argentina, Nicaragua, Indonesia, Nigeria, France, Chile and Estonia were also invited to the festival.

Viewers of Paris noted that there was no such diversity of cultures, costumes, dances and music for a long time. Fascinating and captivating Indonesian dance to the accompaniment of their traditional musical instrument gamelan (gamelan), fiery dances of the Chileans, perfected movements of the Argentine tango, a kind of performance of the Nigerian team - everything was bright and colorful.

The performance of the “Miras” ensemble took place with a big notice. Lively, perky, clockwork Bashkir dances “At the tent” and “Youth” were applauded while standing, and the whole Russian audience sang along with the Russian folk song “Kalinka”. The audience was impressed by the sound of the kurai, spoke with admiration of its melody and uniqueness.
