Legendary Bashkir ballet of Leo Stepanov and Zagir Ismagilov "Crane Song", in which the pure love of a young couple wins envy and deceit, opened the Nureeyev days in Ufa on the Birthday of famous dancer.

The event was held in the Bashkir State Opera and Dance theatre. 

The premiere of "Crane Song" was held in the theater in 1944. The author of the libretto based on the Bashkir folk legend is Gaskarov Faizi. Modern ballet version is based on the choreography of Nina Anisimova and Khalaf Safiullin as amended Shamil Teregulov.
