Ghafuri in 2018 was awarded the Fyodor Volkov Prize for his contribution to the development of theatrical art and in September the performance “Zuleikha opens her eyes” was shown at the 19th International Festival of them. The trip of the theater team to Yaroslavl was held with the financial support of the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Bashkortostan.

“There is only one step left until the centenary of our theater. This, of course, is exciting. Since last year, when a decree to celebrate the centenary of the theater was adopted by decree of the Head of the Republic, many of the points have already been implemented. We are preparing the premieres, we are proceeding with the reconstruction of the theater, we plan to publish a book-album about the history of the theater, and much more, ”said the artistic director of the theater, Oleg Khanov.

Viewers of the tower are waiting for the premieres of the plays “Unfinished Tale” (based on the novel by U. Galiyev, dir. A. Abushakhmanov); “White cloud of Genghis Khan” (based on the story of Ch.Aitmatov, ins.E.Barachikova, director M.Kulbayev); “Ynyykai menen Yuldykai” (Kh. Gabitova, dir. A. Abushakhmanov).

A gift for the anniversary of Bashkortostan will be a performance based on the Bashkir epic “Ural Batyr”. The director and stage adaptation of the project is Andrei Savvich Borisov from the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), who has extensive experience in performing epic performances.

A world premiere will also be staged by William Shakespeare’s tragedy Hamlet in the Bashkir language (dir. A. Abushakhmanov). The release of the play is scheduled for March - April 2019.

On the 100th anniversary of the national poet of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Mustai Karim, by October 2019, the play “Abduction of a Girl” is planned. Director - Rifkat Vakilovich Israfilov. As noted in the theater, it will be a retro performance with the actors who became idols for the last production, a kind of retro return.

Together with the Bashkortostan film studio, work is being done on the filming of 2 documentaries about the history of the theater under the working titles “The Birth and Development of the Theater” and “The Theater Today”.

Oleg Zakirovich said that during the season of 2018-2019 a large-scale anniversary tour of the Bashkir Academic Drama Theater in Russia, CIS countries and the Republic of Bashkortostan is planned. Our artists will perform at leading theater venues in Russia.
