Bashkir State Philharmonic presents the Steinway piano

The Bashkir State Philharmonic H. Akhmetov invites on presentation of the Steinway grand piano January 15. The Moscow pianist, People's Artist of Russia Nikolai Lugansky, an international musician representing Russian art all over the world, came to Ufa to present the piano. The musician will play Beethoven's sonatas No. 28, 23, 32.  The instrument was acquired through a subsidy of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Bashkortostan.

Nikolai Lugansky is a professor, soloist of the Moscow Philharmonic Society, a laureate of many competitions, including the Tchaikovsky Competition (1994). He performed with more than 240 conductors, including Evgeny Svetlanov, Yuri Temirkanov, Valery Gergiev, Vladimir Fedoseyev, Yuri Simonov, Mikhail Pletnev, Vladimir Spivakov and others. His partners in the chamber ensemble include  Anna Netrebko, Leonidas Kavakos, Isabelle Faust, Gauthier Kapuson, Misha Maisky, Vadim Repin, and others. His tour map covers Belgium, Great Britain, Ireland, Hungary, Romania, Spain, Italy, Germany, France, Japan, USA, Singapore, South Korea.

The pianist's repertoire includes more than 50 piano concerts, compositions of different styles and eras. The musician gives about 100 concerts a year. Records of Nikolai Lugansky, published in Russia, Japan, Holland, and France, were highly praised in the press and had many prizes. Among them, there are the International Terence Judd Prize, “Golden Tuning Fork of the Year” (three times), ECHO Klassik (three times), Choc du Monde de la Music, Preis der Deutschen Schallplattenkritik, BBC Music Magazine Award.

 

“The cultural world” web portal is the only media to tell about Bashkir culture. It also highlights the achievements of famous people in the republic, tells about young artists.
