March 21, 2017 the Bashkir State Puppet Theater celebrates its 85th anniversary! Despite the fact that the birthday of the puppet theater was February 5, today's date is chosen not by chance. It is on March 21 the whole world celebrates the Day of the Puppet Theater (Day of the puppeteer).

In this festive evening, the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Bashkortostan Amina Shafikova, the deputy head of the Administration of the city district Ufa of the Republic of Bashkortostan Syntimir Bayazitov, the head of the Ordzhonikidzevsky district administration of the urban district Ufa city of the Republic of Bashkortostan Marat Galiullin, the member of the Executive Committee of the World Kurultay Bashkir, the chairman of the Union of Journalists RB, editor in chief of the newspaper "Yәshlek" Arthur Davletbakov, Vice-President of the Union of theatrical figures of Republics Bashkortostan Hurmatulla Utyashev, as well as representatives of the state theaters Ufa and guests.

The theater for today really passed a triumphant, saturated fate. The great road, which began on February 5, 1932, was very fruitful. When in the distant 32nd, in the Small Hall of the Ufa Art Palace (now the Bashkir State Theater of Opera and Ballet), a performance for the children "Repka" was born under the direction of the director and director of the theater Maria Nikolaevna Elgashtina, no one could think what a great and bright story would write Ufa puppet theater.

On this solemn day the actors of the theater showed bright theatrical performances - excerpts from the plays, among which was a small excerpt from the play "Indian Legend" (director - honored art worker of the RB Pavel Melnichenko). It is worth noting that the Puppet Theater with this performance in 1988, during a triumphal tour in India, was awarded the International Prize. Jawaharlal Nehru. To this day the Bashkir State Puppet Theater is the only Russian owner of this honorable state award of India.
