Bashkir director Ayrat Abushakhmanov conquers Europe
At the moment, the director of the Bashkir Academic Drama Theater named after M. Gafuri, Ayrat Abushakhmanov, is staging a play in Estonia - in the very center of historical Tallinn. Ayrat Akhtyamovich works with Estonian artists on the play of the Estonian classic Anton Tammsaare “Judith” - a work on the Old Testament story about the widow of Judith, who chopped off the head of Assyrian commander Holoferne. The premiere of the play will take place on June 13, 15, 16 at the site of the 13th century Dominican Church of St. Katharina, which was converted into a theater.
The producer and the head of the theater, Märt Meos, invited him to the production. Its theater is called R.A.A.A.M. - in Estonian, the letters that make up the name of the theater form the word “frame”, denoting the frame of an idea. Märt Meos invites strong directors to work together, he has directors from Iran, America and Germany.
