The troupe of the Bashkir theater of Opera and Ballet is presenting "La Bayadere" ballet in Cannes (France) on August 27. The show is established within the framework of the state project "The XXII Cannes Festival of Russian culture". 

According to the press office report, the Bashkir artists are performancing on the appretiation night of Rudolf Nureev. The Honored artists of Bashkortostan Valeria Isaeva and Rustam Iskhakov are playing the leading parts. 

"La Bayadere" ballet is one of the favourite Rudolf Nereev's plays. Our worldwide famous compatriot took his first ballet steps on the stage of the Bashkir theater of Opera and Ballet. "A flying tatar" he was called after his role of Solor in "La Bayadere".
