The famous film director from Bashkortostan Bulat Yusupov is invited to the jury of the 5th International Turkic World Documentary Film Festival, which will be held in the Istanbul this autumn.

Turkish viewers are familiar with Bulat Yusupov’s films “Babich” and “First Republic”. Those films were presented in Turkish at the festivals Altin Koza (Adana), Malatya International Film Festival (Malatya), Rendezvous-Istanbul.

Themes of the film festival: “Turkic Culture” and “Turkic Worldview”. The organizers of the festival set a goal to support and identify new names of documentary filmmakers of Turkic-speaking peoples and to present viewers diverse and high-quality documentaries from Russia, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia and Kosovo.

The filmmaker Bulat Yusupov will give an expert evaluation of the films and represent the Republic of Bashkortostan at the event.
