"The First Republic" film became the winner of the "Laurus" International Film Festival in the nomination "Best Feature Film". It was shown with English subtitles.

The historical picture of the famous Bashkir director Bulat Yusupov narrates the tragic destiny of outstanding personalities who stood at the origins of the creation and formation of Bashkir professional art, literature, drama and musical theater.

The film festival was held in Belarus from February 1 to 6. Films from Russia, Israel, Great Britain, the USA, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Turkey, China, and Australia participated in the festival.
