The 2020 Turkic World Film Festival will be held in Istanbul (Turkey) from October 21 to 25. It was organized in memory of the political and military leader of Turkey Bilge Tonyukuk. The festival's slogan is the appeal of the famous Turkish public figure, writer and journalist Ismail Gaspirali "Unite in language, deeds, and thoughts".
Films from the Turkic-speaking states and republics — the Republic of Sakha, Kazakhstan, Moldova/Gagauz region, Bashkortostan, Tatarstan, Uzbekistan, Iraq, and Turkmenistan will be presented to the jury and viewers through competitions, special sections, panels, and exhibitions.
