The historical film "The First Republic," directed by Bulat Yusupov, was included in the International Turkic World Film Festival competition program. And the first film of the trilogy "First Republic" "Babich" will be shown in the section "Historical panorama".

The 2020 Turkic World Film Festival will be held in Istanbul (Turkey) from October 21 to 25. It was organized in memory of the political and military leader of Turkey Bilge Tonyukuk. The festival's slogan is the appeal of the famous Turkish public figure, writer and journalist Ismail Gaspirali "Unite in language, deeds, and thoughts".

Films from the Turkic-speaking states and republics — the Republic of Sakha, Kazakhstan, Moldova/Gagauz region, Bashkortostan, Tatarstan, Uzbekistan, Iraq, and Turkmenistan will be presented to the jury and viewers through competitions, special sections, panels, and exhibitions.
