Mustai Karim's "The Little Sister" reached final of "TEFI- Victory Chronicle" competition

"The Little Sister" film directed by Alexander Galibin based on the story of the People's Poet of Bashkortostan Mustai Karim "The Joy of Our Home", reached the final of the "TEFI- Victory Chronicle" 2021 competition in the "Television Feature Film" nomination.

Honored Art Worker of the RSFSR Mikhail Agranovich also became a finalist of the award in the nomination "Operator of a Television Film/Series". Previously, he received the White Square Award for Best Cinematography in a Feature Film in 2019 for his work on "The Little Sister" film.

In the final of the "TEFI- Victory Chronicle" 2021 competition, 30 works were released in 10 nominations. The winners will be determined at the award ceremony, which will take place at the Moscow Et Cetera Theater on June 21.

The war drama "The Little Sister" was filmed by the "Motor Film Studio" film company with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and the Mustai Karim Foundation. It was released on September 19, 2019, for the 100th anniversary of the birth of the national poet of Bashkortostan Mustai Karim.

The film's screenings took place within the framework of film festivals in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Plyos, Yalta, Svetlogorsk, Vyborg, Volokolamsk, Smolensk, Veliky Novgorod, Tyumen, Vladimir, Tambov, and near Tuapse. Also, special screenings were held in London, Brussels, and Vienna.

The film received the Grand Prix of the IV Yalta International Film Festival "Eurasian Bridge", the Audience Award and a III degree diploma at the XXIII All-Russian Festival of Visual Arts at the All-Russian Children's Center "Orlyonok", the Grand Prix and the Audience Award at the XVI International Charity Film Festival "Radiant Angel ", The Audience Award at the XVI International Festival of Military-Patriotic Film "Volokolamsk Frontier", the prize for the best full-length feature film at the VI International Festival of Children's and Family Cinema" Zero Plus ", the prize for the best children film at the Aleksey Batalov Film Festival "Cranes", Grand Prix of the XV International Orthodox Sretensky Film Festival "Vstrecha", was awarded the ECFA jury prize at the 25th Schlingel International Film Festival for Children and Youth in Germany, became the best film in the children's competition program of the Kinoshock festival.

On May 11 and 12, 2021, a series of film screenings took place in the Republic of Dagestan to the 76th anniversary of the Great Victory and the upcoming 100th anniversary of the people's poet of Dagestan, an outstanding public and political figure, a close friend of Mustai Karim — Rasul Gamzatov.
