Bashkortostan will become the center of an international cultural festival in a month. The VI World Folkloriada CIOFF® will be held in the republic from July 3 to 10.
About two thousand artists from 60 countries of the world will present their traditional music, dances, folk crafts, cuisine, costumes, and performing arts to the residents and guests of Bashkiria. Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan confirmed their participation in the cultural forum among the CIS countries. Delegations of France, Italy, Austria, Spain, Greece, Switzerland, Estonia, Hungary, Bulgaria, Croatia, North Macedonia, Poland, and Montenegro will arrive in Bashkortostan from among the European states. Participants from India and South Africa will represent the BRICS countries. Middle East states — Israel, Palestine, United Arab Emirates. Latin America — Mexico, Chile, and Colombia. The delegation of the USA and African countries — Egypt and Algeria also confirmed their participation.
From July 3 in Ufa, the first International Exhibition of Masters of Decorative and Applied Arts within the framework will begin its work as part of the Folkloriada. Recognized masters and artisans from 48 countries of the world will present their works in the "Toratau" Congress Hall. The exposition will include unique examples of arts and crafts, folk costumes, jewelry, and household items of cultural value.
On the same day, the photo exhibition "Musical Instruments of the Nations of the World", organized jointly with the CIOFF® Youth Coordinating Committee, will welcome visitors. The exposition will feature images of traditional musical instruments of the peoples of the world. The photo exhibition will be available in 4 languages: Russian, English, Spanish and French. Everyone will be able to visit the exhibitions until July 9.
Participants of the World Folkloriada will perform not only in the capital of the republic but also in 22 municipalities, which are united into four festival districts:
Central Festival District (Salavat — July 5, Sterlitamak and Nurimanovsky district — July 6, Oktyabrsky — July 7, Karmaskalinsky and Aurgazinsky districts — July 8, Ishimbay and Blagoveshchensky district — July 9 ).
Northern Festival District (Mishkinsky district — July 5, Karaidel district — July 6, Buraevsky district — July 7, Askinsky district — July 8).
Northwestern Festival District (Dyurtyuli — July 5, Yanaulsky District — July 6, Tatyshlinsky District — July 7, Neftekamsk City — July 8, Ilishevsky District — July 9);
Eastern Festival District (Abzelilovsky District — July 5, Burzyansky District — July 6, Uchaly City — July 7, Sibay — July 8, Beloretsk City — July 9).
All concert programs will be open-air. Admission is free, subject to the mask regulations.
Recall that the Folkloriada was supposed to take place in July-August 2020 but was postponed to 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
