The ceremonial opening of the Year of the Theater, which is declared the year 2019, throughout Russia will take place on December 13.

All state theater institutions of Bashkortostan will join the solemn start. This day will be held premiere performances, thematic quests and exhibitions, master classes and creative meetings, photo shoots with your favorite artists, theatrical performances and tours and much more.

The official opening will take place in the Bashkir State Drama Theater. M. Gafuri. Viewers will see the long-awaited premiere of the play “Ural Batyr” based on the ancient Bashkir epic staged by the Yakut director Andrei Borisov. The performance is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the republic and the centenary of the theater itself.
