From 7 to 16 of November 2016 on the basis of the Z. Ismagilov Ufa State Arts Institute will be held III International competition of musicians of Zagir Ismagilov, honored to the 100th anniversary of the composer's birth. The contest is held with the aim to immortalize the name of People's Artist of USSR, laureate of the Russian Federation State Prize of M. Glinka, the winner of Bashkortostan Republic State Prize of Salavat Yulaev, the outstanding composer of Bashkortostan, teacher and public figure Zagir Garipovich Ismagilov. His name has become a landmark for the Republic of Bashkortostan and Russia. He was the founder of the classical Bashkir Opera, made a huge contribution to the development of musical culture and educational system of the republic in the field of art.

As the founders of the contest are the Ministry of Culture of Russian Federation, Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Zagir Ismagilov Ufa State Institute of Arts and the Union of composers of the Republic of Bashkortostan.

Contestants are divided into the following nominations: "Vocal" (the first age group - from 17 to 22 years, the second - from 23 to 32 years old), "Piano" and "Violin, cello, double bass" (the first age group - from 14 to 19, the second - from 20 to 32 years). In the nomination "Vocal" for the first age group will be held two rounds - qualifying and final - accompanied by the instrument and (or) a cappella; for the second - three rounds - two preliminary rounds and the final third in the orchestra. In the nomination "Piano" and "Violin, cello, double bass" for both age groups performed three rounds - two preliminary rounds and the final third in the orchestra.

As a jury of the festival are: Chairmen, People's Artist of the Russian Federation Valery Aliev (nomination "Vocal"), Professor of Gnesin RAM, Schnittke MSIM, honored worker of culture of Kyrgyzstan, Vera Nosina (nomination "Piano"), Professor of Gnesin RAM, Honored Artist of Russia Alexei Koshvanets (nominated for "Violin, cello, double bass"). Among the members of the jury in the category "Solo singing": Shahimardan Abilov - a professor of the Kazakh National University of Arts and the Kazakh National Conservatory of Kurmangazy, Honored Artist of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Honored Worker of Education of Kazakhstan, the soloist of the Abai GATOB; Michael S. Agin - Professor of Gnesin RAM, Honored Artist of Russia, Honored Worker of Higher School; Farzana Fatkullovna Sagitova – Professor of Z. Ismagilov USIA, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Bashkortostan; Yamil Abdulmanov - Associate Z. Ismagilov USIA, Honored Artist of Russia. In the nomination "Piano": Nailya Khamidullina - Professor of Z. Ismagilov USIA, Honored Artist of the Republic of Bashkortostan; Mikhail Kochurov – Professor of Z. Ismagilov USIA, Honored Artist of the Republic of Bashkortostan; Rustam Shaikhutdinov - honored worker of arts of RB, Ph.D., professor of the A. Schnittke Moscow State Institute of Music and Z. Ismagilov USIA, laureate of youth S. Babich State Prize of the Republic of Bashkortostan. In the category “Violin, cello bass” are Alexander Shisman -Professor of Z. Ismagilov USIA, Honored Worker of Culture of Russia, Honored Artist of the Republic of Bashkortostan; Flyura Sitdikova - Professor of Z. Ismagilov USIA, Honored Artist of the Republic of Bashkortostan; Vladimir Zinov - Professor of Z. Ismagilov USIA, Honored Artist of the Republic of Bashkortostan; Mark Afanasyev - docent of Z. Ismagilov USIA, Honored Worker of Culture of the Republic of Bashkortostan.

At the end of the III International competition of musicians of Zagir Ismagilov winners will be awarded cash prizes. In each category are awarded the title of laureates and winners. Perhaps accompanists awarded diplomas. It is assumed soloists prize for the best performance of Z. Ismagilov. Participants who will not admit to the final round will be awarded with certificates of honor.

State and public organizations, creative unions, the media, institutions, companies and individuals in agreement with the Organizing Committee may establish special prizes and awards.
