The III International Violin Competition of Vladimir Spivakov was postponed to 2021 due to the threat of the spread of coronavirus. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Culture of Bashkortostan with reference to the organizing committee of the competition.

The competition is tentatively scheduled for the 1st quarter of 2021. Dates of competitive auditions in Ufa will be announced later.

“Those participants who wanted to take part in the competition in 2020 and may not be age-matched next year. So it was decided that the age criteria will be taken into account as of 2020. Application deadline extended to November 1, 2020. The results of the qualifying round will be announced no later than November 20, 2020,” the organizers explained.
