Today, his 90th anniversary is celebrated by a famous singer and kuraist, People’s Artist of the Republic of Bashkortostan, laureate of the State Prize named after. Salavat Yulaev Abdulla Sultanov.
Abdulla Afzalovich at the beginning of his creative career was known as an amateur artist, and in 1955 he played the kurai as part of the Decade of Bashkir literature and art in Moscow. At the I All-Union festival of amateur art in the Kremlin Palace of Congresses, he performed the Bashkir song "Ural". In 1996 he participated in the I Moscow International Folklore Festival.
Many recordings of folk songs performed by him are kept in the stock records of the Ostankino television and radio company and the Gnesins State Institute in Moscow. The “nugget” of Bashkortostan, as Abdulla Sultanov is called, introduced the Bashkir song to listeners in St. Petersburg, Samara, Yekaterinburg and in many foreign countries.
