The grand folklore festival continues its work. Today at the "Heart of the Folkloriada" the audience saw performances by groups from Slovakia, Panama, Greece, and Mexico.
The headliners of the evening were the Moscow Bagpipe Orchestra and the French "Plantec" Group.
The Moscow Bagpipe Orchestra is the first professional Scottish bagpipe and drum orchestra in Russia. An extreme musical show based on Scottish classics and transcription of Russian rock disco music and many others.
"I think that all folklore festivals in general, and the folklore festival in Ufa, in particular, is a very good idea because all people are unconditionally close to folk culture, whatever it is. And if we pay attention, we can see that people from another continent have a lot of things that resonate in our hearts. And it seems like this is completely alien music, but it is somewhat similar to ours. Either the rhythm or the melody. It is performed in a different way, wrapped in a different wrapper, but these root things are very deep, they live in all of us. We get acquainted with the world in this way, and get acquainted with each other, and first of all with ourselves," commented Artemiy Vorobyov, founder and artistic director of the Moscow Bagpipe Orchestra.
"We only arrived in Ufa in the morning. A magnificent city that has gathered many, many cultures that interact with each other. We are from the most eastern France with very interesting dances and songs and it's incredible that we can share the culture of our country here," Yannick Plantec, one of the founding brothers of the French band "Plantec", shared his impressions.
Concert programs of the VI CIOFF®️ World Folkloriada will be held at the venues of the “Toratau” Congress Hall until July 10: on the upper platform (parking lot) and in the Amphitheater.
