The Faizi Gaskarov Folk Dance Ensemble presented the "Dances of the peoples of the world" program on the Lensovet Palace of Culture stage.
The concert was opened by the famous "Zarifa" from the golden fund of Gaskarov's heritage. The audience was introduced to the classics of Bashkir choreography: the renowned dance "Seven Girls".
"We are glad that a wonderful concert of the Gaskarov Ensemble opened the days of Bashkortostan culture in St. Petersburg. Legendary dances and the high professionalism of the artists did not leave anyone indifferent. The audience greeted each dance with thunderous applause. Of course, our Bashkir dances are especially heart-warming," Gulnaz Ibragimova, chairman of the Kurultay of Bashkirs of St. Petersburg, commented.
The leading soloist of the ensemble, Elvira Mullagulova, conducted a traditional master class in Bashkir dance. The student dance group "Amanat" and the folklore ensemble "Naza" were invited to the class.
As previously reported, the Gaskarov Ensemble is now on a big tour of the cities of Russia. The concerts have already taken place in Tver, Veliky Novgorod, and St. Petersburg. Tikhvin, Velikiye Luki, Moscow, and Vladimir are ahead.
