On May 14, the First Culture Forum "ART-Kurultay" was opened in Ufa. The Forum is being held for the first time and should become an annual integrated platform for discussing and making strategic decisions in the field of culture. In 2021, the Forum is dedicated to the World Folkloriada. The Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov takes part in the work of the Forum.

An upbeat atmosphere reigns in the "Toratau" Congress Hall. Cultural area workers arrived from all over the republic, guests of honor came from Russia and abroad. Throughout the day, many activities await the participants of the event — round tables, lectures, master classes.

The guests of the event saw thematic exhibitions. Especially for "ART-Kurultay" exhibitions of the Bashkir Opera and Ballet Theater, the Russian Drama Theater, the Bashkortostan Amir Abdrazakov Film Studio were prepared. Not only adults but also young actors of the film "Taganok Squad" came to present the works of the film studio. The stands provide information about the national project "Culture" programs, about the laureates of international competitions and festivals. Theaters have prepared an exhibition of costumes from performances. The event also featured the exhibition of the International Competition of Masters of the Bashkir National Costume "Tamga".

A section of the children's TV channel "Tamyr" has been working since 8 am, which has begun preparations for the children's "ART-Kurultay" — it will take place on June 1.

The first agreements have already been signed within the framework of the Forum — with centers of folk art. Artur Alibakov, General Director of the Republican Center for Folk Art, told the Bashinform News Agency that agreements had been signed with those regions with Bashkir historical and cultural centers.
