Art-union CoolConnections presents ballet in three acts "The Hero of Our Time" to the music of Ilya Demutsky in the production of Yuri Posokhov and Kirill Serebrennikov.

April 9, 2017, at 18.00 Moscow time in the framework of the TheaterHD project, a live broadcast of the ballet will be held. The production will be shown in cinemas around the world, including in 38 cities of Russia. The world premiere will be able to see and Ufimtsev. Commemorating the 200th anniversary of the birth of the great Russian poet, the ballet "The Hero of Our Time" was staged by an unexpected creative union: choreographer Yuri Posokhov worked in partnership with the famous theater director Kirill Serebrennikov; Music for the performance was specially commissioned by composer Ilya Demutskiy. Both for Serebrennikov and Demutsky this performance was the first experience of cooperation with the ballet, and this experience turned out to be successful: "The Hero of Our Time" received the title of the best ballet performance of the season according to the version of the main theater prize of the country "Golden Mask", and the Bolshoi Theater ordered a creative group One more statement.

Three parts of the "Hero of Our Time" are based on the three-act performance: "Bela", "Taman" and "Princess Mary". According to the authors' intention, each of these stories has its own hero, so Pechorin's role is played by three artists. In the play, which will be shown in the framework of the "Big Ballet in Cinema" project, Pechorin will be danced by Igor Tsvirko, Artem Ovcharenko and Ruslan Skvortsov. In the role of Bela young prima Bolshoi Olga Smirnova, captivated viewers surprisingly accurate understanding of the tragedy of her heroine, caught between the two worlds. Passionate and insidious Undine will perform Ekaterina Shipulina. Princess Mary will be danced and played by the star of the Bolshoi Theater, a unique and incredible Svetlana Zakharova.
