Moscow violinist Gaik Kazazyan performed with the National Symphony Orchestra of Bashkortostan

The National Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Bashkortostan presented a concert as a part of the Philharmonic Seasons. Ballets of Diaghilev”, which was attended by the soloist of the Moscow State Philharmonic Society, laureate of international competitions Gaik Kazazyan. The concert was held within the framework of the All-Russian Philharmonic Seasons program of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and the Moscow Philharmonic.

Gaik Kazazyan was born in 1982 in Yerevan. He studied at the Moscow Secondary Special Music School. Gnesins (1996-2000) and the Moscow State Conservatory named after P. I. Tchaikovsky (2000-2006), as well as at the Royal College of Music in London (2006-2008).

Gaik Kazazyan performed at world famous venues, including Carnegie Hall in New York, Berlin Philharmonic, Victoria Hall in Geneva, Barbican Hall and Wigmore Hall in London, Chatelet Theater and Gaveau Hall in Paris, Asher Hall in Edinburgh, Small and Rachmaninov halls of the Moscow Conservatory and many others.

In the first part of the concert, the work of Eduard Lalo - "Spanish Symphony" for violin and orchestra, consisting of five parts, was performed. The performance of the soloist caused a standing ovation, the musician was again and again invited to the stage. Specially for Ufa listeners, Gaik Kazazyan performed Paganini's Caprice No. 23.

“Today we had a wonderful concert with colleagues, there was an exchange of energy and the audience felt it,” Gaik Kazazyan shared his impressions.

“I am very glad that my old friend, an outstanding violinist, has come to our city again. We played a huge number of concerts together. I am glad that our relations with the Moscow Philharmonic continue, and the brightest musicians come to us, this is a huge gift for our republic,” said Artur Naziullin, director of the National Orchestra of Bashkortostan.

In the second part of the concert, the orchestra played “Daphnis and Chloe”, a one-act ballet to music by the French composer Maurice Ravel and a libretto by choreographer Mikhail Fokine based on the novel of the same name by the ancient Greek writer Long about the love of a shepherd and a shepherdess. The full version of the ballet music became a premiere for the Ufa audience. M. Ravel himself called "Daphnis and Chloe" not music for a ballet, but a choreographic symphony.

On March 18 and 19, the State Orchestra of Bashkortostan will tour to Neftekamsk and Tuymazy. On March 24, in Ufa, the NSO RB will present another concert as a part of the subscription "Golden Pages of the Bashkir Classics".
