On June 29, a press conference dedicated to the VI World Folkloriada CIOFF®️ was held at the «Rossiya» media center. During the conference, the speakers talked about the preparations for the large-scale event, which the republic is hosting from 3 to 10 July. They discussed the main points and answered the questions of journalists.

“For the first time, the idea of ​​holding a Folkloriada in Russia arose in 2014. In 2015, the delegation of the Republic of Bashkortostan received the right to host the Folkloriada, in 2016 we went to the V World Folkloriada in Mexico, where we took over the baton. Seven years passed from thought to realization. Throughout this time, active preparation was carried out. The executive authorities, the directorate, and the most important: foreign collectives and collectives of our republic, who are waiting for the Folkloriada and really want to take part in it. This is a large-scale feast and a great action "- noted the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Bashkortostan, head of the Directorate for the preparation and holding of the VI World Folkloriad Amina Shafikova.

The head of the department said that serious sanitary and epidemiological measures will be taken during the event.
“When in February it was decided to hold the Folkloriada, we began to develop guidelines for the participants. At the meetings, a lot of time was devoted to medical and epidemiological safety, even more than to a cultural program. Various emergencies and all schemes of action were worked out step by step, ”Amina Ivnievna emphasized.

“Rospotrebnadzor not only monitors, but actively carries out anti-epidemic measures so that the Folkloriada goes without any complications. Our region is at a level where we can control the epidemiological spread of COVID-19. Our department monitors and for each case carries out anti-epidemic investigations, treatment of the outbreak, identification of contact, prophylactic examinations, etc. "- said the deputy chief state sanitary doctor for the Republic of Bashkortostan Galina Permina.
At the press conference, it was concluded that the event participants will arrive with certificates of a negative result of PCR testing for COVID-19, selected no earlier than three calendar days before arriving in the Russian Federation.

First Deputy Healthcare Officer of the Republic of Bashkortostan Gulnara Zinnurova said that a routing algorithm was developed during events in Ufa, as well as in 22 municipalities of the republic. “If the Folkloriada had passed before the pandemic, 85 countries would have taken part in it. Due to restrictions regarding coronavirus infection, some countries did not register participation or applied but will not be able to come. One of the teams has already arrived. The team from Panama. They are now in Moscow. For today, 39 countries have confirmed their participation,” said Artur Alibakov, Director General of the RCFA RB (Republican Center of Folk Art), Executive Director of the Directorate for the preparation and holding of the VI World Folkloriada. In addition, he stressed that Russia has strict conditions for arriving in the country and a separate invitation is given for each delegation. "

The VI World Folkloriada CIOFF®️ will be held in Bashkortostan from 3 to 10 July. The project is one of the main events of the International Council of Organizations of Folklore and Traditional Art Festivals - CIOFF®️.
