The “Ural-Batyr” book was published in Ufa in three languages: Bashkir, Russian and English. Akhmat Suleymanov, Doctor of Philology is a compiler, author of the introductory article and commentary. The translation of the epic from Bashkir into Russian was done by the writer Akhiyar Khakimov, and into English by Zukhra Rakhimova. Illustrations made by Azat Mukhtarullin.

The "Ural-Batyr" epos is a unique treasure of the oral and poetic creativity of the Bashkir people, which from ancient times inhabited the Ural Mountains — the stone belt of Eurasia. The book is characterized by both the common typological features of the archaic epos and particular ethnic peculiarities.

The publication is addressed to folklore researchers, as well as to everyone interested in the spiritual culture of the Bashkir people. The book was published by the Bashkir publishing house “Kitap” and is available on the company’s store.
