October 18, in Philharmonic hall of Kh. Ahmetov hosted a "Play, dombra" concert. The project is the brainchild of Guzel Umergalina, laureate of international and all-Russian competitions. The director of the concert is Sajda Ilyasova, Honored Artist of the Republic of Bashkortostan.

The concert filled Bashkir motifs and melodies of nature involved: Ilham Baybuldin, Saida Ilyasova, Ural Murtazin, Lily Ishemyarova, Guzel Umergalina, Alim Kayumov, Minlegafur Zainetdinov, Rimma Gimranova, Rais Nizametdinov, ZAliya Giniyatullin, Gulchachak Shagargazina, Ilshat Muslimov Firdus Sharifullin Arthur Gaysarov.

Let us turn to the history of the instrument. Dombra is widespread among the Turkic peoples instrument. It’s stringed folk instrument from the wooden case pear-shaped or hemispherical, oval and flat. Length of tool is 800 mm, fretboard is with 19 frets mortise. It has 3 strings (nylon or metallic), building Quinto-quart way. The sound is taken with the fingers or a mediator at the same time on all the strings, with the top string leads the melody, the lower strings publish drone sound.

Dombra mentioned in Bashkir epics, and in the early 80s. V.Sh.Shugayupov reconstructed the instrument. Later some artists have been created orchestral variety of tools (soprano, alto, bass).
