On March 16, the National Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Bashkortostan presents a concert as part of the “Philharmonic Seasons. Ballets of Diaghilev”.

The program will include works by French composers: "Spanish Symphony" for violin and orchestra by E. Lalo and music from the ballet "Daphnis and Chloe" by M. Ravel. The soloist is a laureate of international competitions, including the XV International Tchaikovsky Competition. P. I. Tchaikovsky Gayk Kazazyan (violin, Moscow). The chief Conductor of the NSO RB, Honored Artist of the Republic of Bashkortostan Dmitry Kryukov is conducting and narrating. The concert is held within the framework of the All-Russian Philharmonic Seasons program of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and the Moscow Philharmonic.

"Spanish Symphony" for violin and orchestra is the first work of Édouard Lalo among French romantic composers on the Spanish theme, which was extremely fashionable in Paris in the second half of the 19th century (in particular, Georges Bizet was working on the opera "Carmen" at the same time). Elements of exotic color can be traced in all five parts of the work. "Spanish Symphony" was written by Lalo in the unique genre of an instrumental concerto-suite.

Daphnis and Chloe is a one-act ballet to the music by French composer Maurice Ravel and libretto by choreographer Mikhail Fokin based on the novel of the same name by the ancient Greek writer Long about the love of a shepherd and a shepherdess. The ballet was created by order of Sergei Diaghilev. The composer called the ballet a "choreographic symphony", conceived it as a large musical fresco, in which he sought to capture the Hellas of dreams, close to the idea of ancient Greece, which is embodied in the works of French artists and writers of the late 18th century.
