The Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theater is staging the opera "Eugene Onegin" by P.I. Tchaikovsky, based on the same name in verses A.S. Pushkin. First, at the end of December, a concert performance of the opera is expected. By the end of the current or the beginning of the next season, the theater promises to release a full-fledged performance in costumes and scenery.
Soloists of the troupe Olesya Mezentseva, Olesya Khusnutdinova and Galina Cheplakova (part of Tatiana), Yan Leishe, and Salavat Kiekbaev (Eugene Onegin), Lyubov Butorina, Katerina Leishe and Ekaterina Kulikova (Olga), Ilgam Valiev and Vladimir Orfeyev (Vladimir Lensky) will perform the lead parts.
The play is staged by the young director Laysan Safargulova. It will be her debut as a production director. Rehearsals of the performance are already underway. In general, the production will be classic, the theater noted.
The musical director of the performance is the chief conductor of the theater Artem Makarov. The production designer is the chief designer of the theater Ivan Skladchikov, who is known for his bright, spectacular works in the "Attila" opera, "The Little Humpbacked Horse," and "Neighbors. 1418" ballets.
The "Eugene Onegin" opera will be staged in Ufa for the eighth time. The current production is funded by a grant from the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.
