The Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theater opened applications for the II International Vocalists' Competition of F. Chaliapin. The contest will be held within the framework of the International Festival of Opera Art "Shalyapin Evenings in Ufa" from September 20 to 25 with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.

The jury will be chaired by People's Artist of RB, winner of international competitions Askar Abdrazakov.

Young vocalists are invited to participate in the competition. Applications are accepted until August 20. Participants will be selected based on the results of the selection screening on the sent video. The competition consists of two rounds: the first one is accompanied by a piano and the second one is the final one, accompanied by a symphony orchestra.

The winners of the Grand Prix, the first and second prizes on September 25 will perform at the gala concert of the festival.
