Bashkortostan's projects received support from the first grant competition of the President's Fund for Cultural Initiatives. Three hundred fifty-six applications were submitted from the republic. Forty-one projects won. The total amount of the grant is 25.17 million rubles.
Bashkortostan has been waiting for such support for a long time. The region has shown the diversity of its projects. They include professional art, folk art, libraries, cinema. Museums and literary projects are further developed. Songwriters, excursion routes, folklore projects will be supported.
The grant holders were 30 projects of municipal cultural institutions and 11 projects of NGOs from four municipalities. The most active in submitted applications was Ufa — 9 winners (of which 8 are non-profit organizations), Sibay — 4 winners, Gafuriysky district — 3 winners, Bizhbulyaksky, Davlekanovsky districts, Sterlitamak and Neftekamsk — 2 projects.
The Bashkortostan-Italy Commonwealth Foundation presented an unusual project. The "Venice Carnival" with a competition of anti-Covid masks in Ufa aims to interest young people and acquaint them with classical art on the example of Rudolf Nureyev. The amount of the grant is 495.5 thousand rubles.
The largest project from Bashkortostan, which received the support of the Government Fund, was the Interregional Digital Educational Film Project "Word of the Earth/Online 2.0". Grant amount: 2 986 690 rubles. Participants will write 75 scripts and shoot 45 films in the languages of the peoples of Russia.
The most inexpensive project is the "Carpet Weaving Revival" in the Bizhbulyaksky district. The grant amount is 180,729 rubles. A creative workshop for the production of carpets will appear in the village of Kanykaevo.
The Fund for Cultural Initiatives was created in May 2021 at the initiative of Russian President Vladimir Putin. 3.5 billion rubles were allocated for projects in the field of culture, art, and creative industries. Almost 12 thousand applications have been submitted. Independent experts evaluated all applications and approved one and a half thousand of them. Not only representatives of non-profit organizations but also individual entrepreneurs and non-state cultural institutions must be able to receive funding.
