Photo exhibition dedicated to 60th anniversary of manned space flight has opened at Ufa City History Museum

On April 2, the Ufa City History Museum opened an exhibition dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the first manned flight into space — "First: Gagarin and Cuba".

The exhibition features unique photographs of Yuri Gagarin's meetings with the Cuban Revolution leaders, Fidel Castro, Ernesto Che Guevara, and Cuban President Osvaldo Dorticos Torrado and ordinary Cuban citizens.

The event was attended by the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Bashkortostan Lira Igtisamova, Deputy Head of Ufa Administration — Head of the Financial Department Gulnara Valieva, Head of the Department for Culture and Art of Ufa Administration Shamil Abdrakov, and other officials.

The exhibition is organized jointly with the All-Russian public organization "Russian Society for Friendship with Cuba" based on the photo album "Invincible-3" to the 85th anniversary of Yu.A. Gagarin. The interregional public organization, "Russian Society for Friendship with Cuba", is the successor to the All-Union Society of Soviet-Cuban Friendship, founded on November 11, 1964. Yuri Gagarin, the first cosmonaut of the planet, Hero of the Soviet Union, was elected the Friendship Society's first president.

The photo exhibition "The First: Gagarin and Cuba" will work at the Museum of the History of Ufa City from 2 to 30 April.
