Today, on June 12, in Ufa, on the stage in front of the State Academic Russian Drama Theater of the Republic of Belarus, in the framework of the celebration of the Day of Russia and the City Day, a gala concert of the International Festival of National Cultures Bermlek-Commonwealth was held.

Creative groups from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, South Korea, Northern Macedonia and Sri Lanka performed at the gala concert. The festival program has become an extraordinary holiday for residents and guests of the capital.

The head of the folklore ensemble of the Center for Ethnology and Folklore of the Republic of Northern Macedonia "Alexander Turundzev" Pets Semyanovsky shared his impressions about the festival:

    “Thank you for inviting me to your republic. We got acquainted with the culture and customs of the Bashkir people, and we are delighted with the beautiful nature of this region. This is our first visit to Russia and, hopefully, not the last. Here are good people, we have never felt that we are in another country. Your customs and traditions are unique, save them. The organization was at a high level. ”

In the evening, creative teams will take part in a costume parade in national costumes, which will be held as part of the International Heart of Eurasia art festival.

Recall that the festival this year is held for the 15th time. And for more than 20-year history, representatives of more than 70 countries, more than 300 delegations visited the stage of the international project. And this year, Bermlek-Commonwealth was a kind of rehearsal for the World Folklore - 2020. The program of the event, which lasted from 8 to 12 June, was very rich and diverse. The grand celebration of the friendship of nations began on June 8 with a solemn parade of participants and a concert in the Alsheevsky district. Further, in the Blagovarsky district, “Sabantuy” took place with a concert program of the delegates of the holiday. On June 11, the festival continued in the Iglinsky district, then Ufa took over the baton.

Bermelek-Commonwealth is one of the six international creative projects in Russia included in the calendar of the main events of the CIOFF (International Council of Festivals of Folklore and Traditional Art). The event has been held in Bashkortostan since 1991.
