Opening has taken place from the square in front of theater. Traditionally, festive evening has begun with a flower-laying to a monument of the national artist of the USSR,  Arslan Mubaryakov established before theater. Then was an interactive concert where everyone could try their voice and sing together with the favorite actors. In the foyer of the theater was the opening of an exposition the "Mubaryakov Dynasty" devoted to the eightieth anniversary of the honored actress of the USSR Gyulli Mubaryakova. Photos, documents, pictures, personal belongings of an eminent family, and also rare exhibits from collection of the museum of Arslan Mubaryakov acting in the homeland of the master in the village of Assy of the Beloretsk district of the republic are presented at exhibition.

As the main program of opening of a new season became the performance "Eclipse" of the national poet of Bashkortostan Mustai Karim by tragedy "In night of a lunar eclipse" (director Ayrat Abushakhmanov).

In the forthcoming season the first premiere is the drama according to the play of the French playwright Jean Anouilh "Antigone", statement of the chief director of the Tatar state academic theater of Galiaskar Kamal, Farid Bikchentayev (Kazan) which can be seen already very soon – on October 4 and 5.

The 97th season of the Bashkir state academic drama theater of Mazhit Gafuri will be noted also by the celebration of anniversaries of the actors loved by the people - Gyulli Mubaryakova, Oleg Khanov, Ilsiyar Gizetdinova, Shaura Dilmukhametova, Akhat Khusainov, Minzali Khayrullina, Ildar Saitov.
