On November 16, a solemn ceremony of the presentation of the Third Russian National Opera Prize “Onegin” and a gala concert of its participants and guests will be held on the stage of the Mikhailovsky Theater. It is no coincidence that the Mikhailovsky Theater will be the venue for one of the most significant events in the world of Russian opera - in 2018, it celebrates 185 years since its foundation. Nominees from thirty-two regions of Russia will gather at the theater with a rich history.

This year, the award organizing committee processed a record number of applications from opera houses. Almost 80 singers and singers from more than 30 theaters of Russia took part in the competition nominations. The soloist of the Bashkir Opera and Ballet Theater, laureate of international, international and All-Russia competition winner Artem Golubev was presented in the nomination “Debut Men”. In addition to Artem, three other soloists from St. Petersburg, Moscow and Yekaterinburg are represented in this nomination.

This year, world-famous opera stars such as Ruggero Raimondi, Patricia Chiofi, Ekaterina Gubanova, Olga Peretyatko, Vasilisa Berzhanskaya, Dmitry Ulyanov, Sergey Murzaev, Veronika Dzhioeva will become special guests of the award. The orchestra of the Mikhailovsky Theater will be conducted by maestro Fabio Mastrangelo.
