The performance of the Salavat Bashkir Drama Theater "Ber, ike, өs ..." ("Earplugs") will be shown at the annual All-Russian festival of young directing "Artmigration". The show will take place on September 20 in Moscow at the Theater Center "Na Strastnom".
The performance is based on the play by the Kazakh playwright Olzhas Zhanaydarov. Director Ilsur Kazakbaev — a graduate of the Russian University of Theatre Arts, laureate of the State Republican Youth Prize RB named after Sh. Babich, chief director of the Salavat Bashkir Drama Theater.
The "Artmigration" Festival organized by the Union of Theater Workers of Russia, will be held from September 12 to 20 in Moscow. "Artmigration" is a festival of young directors, graduates of the capital's theater universities, who have staged original performances outside the two capitals. Regional theaters were invited to participate in the festival on a competitive basis, the repertoire of which includes performances by directors who have recently graduated from theater universities in Moscow or St. Petersburg.
Every year, about 100 applications from different cities of Russia are received for the competition. This year, the expert council selected eight performances from Nizhnevartovsk, Salavat, Kazan, Nizhny Tagil, Buinsk, Samara, Kansk, and Yoshkar-Ola.
The performances will be shown at the Theater Center "Na Strastnom", the Boyars' Chambers, and the A.S. Pushkin Moscow Drama Theater. Admission to the performances is free, by prior registration on the festival website.
