On February 14, the Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theater hosted the premiere of the musical A CAPPELLA “Love is…”. The author of the idea and musical director of the production is the musical director of the theater Alexander Alekseev. Stage director is the winner of the "Golden Mask" Philip Razenkov.

- The idea of ​​this musical was born a year and a half ago, we began to work closely on it at the end of December, - said Alexander Alekseev. – Perhaps, for the first time in the opera house, the viewer has the opportunity to sing along with the artists, if they want, we will only be happy.

According to the directors, the musical A CAPPELLA is a completely new genre for Russia.

“Why the heart is so disturbed”, “White bird cherry”, “In the midst of a noisy ball”, “Only You” - these and other songs, familiar and loved by many generations, were performed by the theater choir without musical accompaniment, often imitating one or another instrument with their voice. Each song has become a separate story, united by a common theme of love.
