September  23 at the Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theatre hosted opera "Tosca" (Puccini, libretto by Luigi Illica and Giuseppe Giacosa)  directed by Michael Pandzhavidze (Moscow); music director and conductor of the opera is Andrew Anikhanov (St. Petersburg).

Literary foundation of the opera of the same name is a play by Victorien Sardou, who wrote the drama especially for prominent French actress Sarah Bernhardt, who more than once has been on tour in Russia.

However, the play itself is perhaps known only to connoisseurs of drama, while the musical drama of Puccini became widely known. Opera has become so popular that more than 100 years has been on the scaffolding of the world theater. There are several adaptations for Sardou product, and in other films often cite the opera "Tosca".

Drama of fearless love of Floria Tosca and Mario Cavaradossi didn't left citizens indifferent. Setting M.Pandzhavidze collected a full house in Ufa Opera and Ballet Theatre, musical drama in Italian sounded by famous actors.

The part of desperate and passionate Tosca sang the leading soloist of the National Opera and Ballet Theatre "Astana Opera" (Kazakhstan), laureate of international and national competitions, the winner of the state awards - Zhupar Gabdullina. Part of peaceful and romantic painter Mario Cavaradossi executed illustrious European tenor George Oniani - soloists of Bonn (Germany), guest soloist Vienna Volksoper, the Deutsche Oper Berlin and the Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg. And in the way of the secret police and brutal cunning chief Baron Scarpia played Alexander Nikitin - Mariinsky Theatre soloist, winner of the international competition.

The opera consists of three acts is incredibly dynamic. The scenes of the main character of jealousy, fleeing political prisoner Cesare Angelotti (Aygiz Gizatullin), treachery and nobility - in the first act; persecution Angelotti and Cavaradossi, denounced police Spoleto (Ilgiz Khakimov), torture, blackmail and deception, murder - in the second act; gentle lovers meeting again cheating death Cavaradossi and Tosca's suicide in the third act - it all develops at breakneck speed, and the power and energy of the vote, the constant change of emotional state, clearly reflected in the facial expressions of the actors, only reinforces the approach of the tragic outcome of events.

Bright color-play lighting solution, flaming with passion the singer's voice, the power of sound and music score setting (conductor Artem Makarov), with the ups and downs of the dramatic action and intrigue - all this takes place within two and a half hours. And it is absolutely clear what the audience applauded standing, and what applause erupted. The strength and fire - these are the key components of a performance score, the inner world of the heroes, and the energy of artists themselves.

Opera "Tosca" was the final opera in the framework of the XV International Festival "Shalyapin evenings in Ufa."
