The National Museum of the Republic of Bashkortostan will host the opening of the exhibition "Epic Heritage of the Peoples of Eurasia", dedicated to the Year of the Cultural Heritage of the Peoples of Russia on February 21.
The basis of the exhibition are the objects of decorative and applied art of the Bashkir people and the peoples of Russia, book and documentary publications of historical and educational value from the funds of cultural and educational institutions of the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Local History Museum of Perm, and private collections. The exhibits show the spiritual heritage of the peoples of Russia in their entirety and variety, including the largest and the oldest epic work of Bashkir folklore - the epos "Ural Batyr".
The organizers believe that the exhibition "Epic Heritage of the Peoples of Eurasia" will become a venue for various events of museum and pedagogical nature, such as seminars for students and teachers of the Children's Art Centers, and sesen schools, leaders of folklore ensembles, as well as master classes with the participation of modern masters of folk arts and crafts on the theme of popularization of the epic heritage of the peoples of Eurasia.
The exposition will serve as the basis for further projects in the field of studying and interpreting folk culture collected and presented in the collections of Russian museums.
The exhibition is valid until March 21, 2022.
Opening hours for visitors: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: from 11:00 a.m to 6:00 p.m (the ticket office is open till 5:00 p.m); Saturday, Sunday: from 11:00 to 5:30 p.m (the ticket office is open till 4:30 p.m). Monday is a day off.
