On April 27 the Musical and Literary Lecture society of the Bashkir State Philharmonic celebrated its 80th anniversary.

The very first lectures began in December 1941.

The festive concert was attended by the entire creative team - instrumentalists, dancers, musicologists, readers, vocalists - Flarida Irkina, Artur Sharipov, Vakhit Khyzyrov, Dina Khusaenova, Valentina Topychkanova, Gulshat Girfanova, Aliya Iskuzina and others.

Veterans of the team were also invited to the evening. Zoya Baychkhayeva performed a Kalmyk song, Alexander Donguzov read the poems of Bulat Okudzhava, Nuria Murtazina performed the song "Birches are Noisy", a kurai player Azat Aitkulov played the melody "Zagida" on the kurai.

At the end of the anniversary concert, the lecture society team, together with the audience, performed the song "Hope" by composer Alexandra Pakhmutova and poet Nikolai Dobronravov.

It was announced that electronic book about the history of the lecture society will soon appear on the website of the Bashkir State Philharmonic Society.
