On July 4 and 5, the premiere of the opera “Evgeniy Onegin” will take place at the Bashkir Opera and Ballet Theatre. Colonel Azat Shakhmukhametov, Honored Artist of the Republic of Bashkortostan, is the musical director and conductor of the new performance. The stage director is Laysan Safargulova, it is her debut as an opera director. The art director is Honored Artist of Bashkortostan Ivan Skladchikov.

The work of the great Russian composer is also closely connected with the history of the Bashkir Opera and Ballet Theater - "Evgeniy Onegin" was among the first productions on its stage. The performance, with which Bashopera will end the current season, will be the eighth stage incarnation of this opera in the history of the theatre.

The choreographer of "Eugene Onegin" will be the actress, choreographer and teacher Ramune Khodorkaite, she collaborates as a choreographer with famous theater directors. The lighting designer is Honored Worker of Culture of Russia Irina Vtornikova, repeatedly nominated for the Golden Mask award. Choirmaster is Honored Artist of the Republic of Bashkortostan Alexandr Alekseev.
