On December 16, the premiere of the choreographic performance "Ural and Shulgen" based on the epic "Ural Batyr" took place in Ufa.

This is the first choreographic performance of the Bashkir folk epic not only in the history of the State Academic Folk Dance Ensemble named after Fayzi Gaskarov, but also in the history of the cultural life of the republic.

The creators of the performance told how the preparations for the production went:

- I had a difficult task ahead of me. Make a dance performance. I have not come across such a job before. After all, theater actors use words to convey an image and a story. Here I had to learn the language of choreography. Yamilya Bikbayeva, the author of the project, helped me with this. This is a new and interesting experience for me, - said the director of the production, Firgat Garipov.

- When I staged a solo dance, the ensemble suggested that I develop this theme and make a performance. The uniqueness of this project is that it is the first choreographic performance in the history of the ensemble. And for the first time I also worked on creating a work in this genre. The dancers had to become actors. We have a wonderful team, therefore, although it was not easy, we managed to cope with the tasks and this performance was born.

A unique project based on the Bashkir folk epic "Ural Batyr" is dedicated to the Year of Cultural Heritage of the Peoples of Russia.

The next performances of the premiere performance will take place on December 19 at 11.00 and 1.00 p.m. at the concert hall of the State Academic Folk Dance Ensemble named after F. Gaskarov.
