"The Fountatin of Bakhchisarai" ballet by the Mariinsky theater artists will start today at theit online-platform at 21:00. 

This is a tragic story of love and jealousy made after a romantic poem of great poet Alexander Pushkin. During the Tartar invasions of Poland Khan Ghirei kidnaps the daughter of a Polish lord, Maria. In Bakhchisarai, in the harem, the girl cries over her fate, remembers her former happiness and rejects the love of the Khan. She dies, however, from the hand of Ghirei?s jealous wife. In the final scene Ghirei is seen mourning her death by the Fountain of Tears which he built for the beautiful Maria.
