"Shalyapinsky evenings in Ufa" proceed. In the fourth festival day on the stage of Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theatre is J. Verdi's opera - "Traviata" (the Libretto to F. Pyava according to Dumas son's drama "The lady with camellias"). The production director is Kuzman Popov (Bulgaria), the conductor – the director Alexey Lyudmilin, the conductor – Artem Makarov, Aysylu Iksanov's director.
The "Traviata" written by the great composer Verdi has performed by the invited actors: the soloist of Bolshoi and Mariinsky theaters, the Honoured actress of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania, the Honoured actress of South Ossetia Veronika Dzhioyeva is the performer of a role of Violetta Valéry; the invited soloist, already familiar to us on the first premiere of Carmen - Ildar Valiyev (Ekaterinburg State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre), the performer of a role of Alfred Zhermon, and the soloist of the Moscow theater the New Opera Vasily Ladyuk is a performer of a role of Georges Zhermon.
Not the text of the drama work, but the musical text becomes the main feature and advantage in a performance. And the fact that the opera goes in Italian already ceases to have any value in relation to a plot. Uniqueness of opera art is when the singer is capable to inform public through plasticity of a sound. In the middle of the 19th century when there was a premiere of the opera of Verdi, the musical critic of the Musical Italy newspaper wrote: "... Verdi has invented the newest genre of music, he has a huge number of means of expression, and he wants that music expressed not only thoughts and feelings in general, but also all their shades, all their movements".
Performed by Veronika Dzhioyeva the drama becomes suddenly the tragedy, and without any pathetics, without pathos and anguish. Veronika Dzhioyeva with improbable energy shows us other Violetta – not the courtesan and the lover of noisy balls, but the woman who has fallen in love once. And this was not pompous and thoughtless love to the "next" gentleman, but the love for the sake of which you go on any victims. And Violetta, absolutely consciously has arrived and ripened she has made a choice, having offered the happiness – Alfred Zhermon.
