The new season at the Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theater promises to be full of premieres. This was announced by the theater director Ilmar Almukhametov at a press conference on the upcoming season. Ilmar Razinovich expressed gratitude to the representatives of the media for fruitful cooperation and shared his plans for the 81st theatrical season.

According to the head of the theater, one of the most anticipated productions - the ballet "On Football!" To the music of Ruslan Mursyakayev, timed to the World Cup 2018, residents and guests of the capital will be able to see on October 7. A musical fairy tale "The Cat's House" in the direction of Tigran Dovlatbekyan will become a New Year's gift for young spectators.

The beginning of 2019 will be marked by the premiere of the ballet "The Girl with Matches" to the music of Shaura Sagitova, the choreographer-director Dmitry Antipov. On the stage of the Bashkir Opera and Ballet Theater, Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy's neo-classical ballet Midsummer Night's Dream will be presented. The performance will be performed by the Swiss choreographer, Order of Arts and Literature Officer, Heinz Spoerli, International Prize Laureate. A special feature of the performance will be dramatic insertions, in which actors from the theaters of Bashkortostan will take part. Ildar Abdrazakova's directing debut Ufa will see at the premiere of Giuseppe Verdi's opera Attila in April next year.

The 100th anniversary of the Republic of Bashkortostan will be dedicated to two ballets: "Shulgan-Tash" to music by Nikolai Popov (choreographer Rinat Abushahmanov) and "Seven Girls" in the choreography of Vladimir Vasilyev. As the general director of the theater Ilmar Almukhamedov informed, the performance will be presented at the opening of the 22nd International Ballet Art Festival named after Rudolf Nureyev.

"We decided that the Nureyev festival will be held in September and every time open with a premiere. We will try to maintain such a pace, "said Ilmar Razinovich.

In November 2019, the chief director of the Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theater, Philip Razenkov, will put Jacques Offenbach's operetta "The Duchess of Gerolstein".

One of the main events of the BSTU and this year is the 80th birthday of the theater, which is celebrated on December 14. Due to the fact that the theater of opera and ballet will become a platform for the opening of the cycle of events timed to the 100th anniversary of the republic, and in view of the reconstruction of the Bashkir Drama Theater of M. Gafuri, the exact date of the jubilee evening will be reported to the audience later.
