Films by director Ainur Askarov will be shown In Estonia

From 23 to 26 March at the cinema "Artis" (Tallinn, Estonia) will pass the Spring Days of the National Cinema "Navruz". The tradition to celebrate Navruz, the New Year on the solar calendar on the day of the vernal equinox, arose in the Iranian-speaking and Turkic peoples in ancient times. They celebrate Navruz and in Estonia, because several thousand representatives of the Turkic peoples live there, who carefully preserved this tradition.

The audience will be presented with a program composed of pictures taken by filmmakers from Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan and Bashkortostan.
The honor to open the spring days of the national cinema fell on the tape "House for the Mermaids" by the leading Uzbek director Yolkin Tuychiev, shot by the joint efforts of Estonian, Russian, Kazakh and Uzbek filmmakers.
Kyrgyzstan will present the film "The Testament of the Father", a heartfelt tape about finding its true roots, which was highly appreciated by foreign film critics, winning the Grand Prix "Golden Zenith" at the Montreal International Film Festival. The film is nominated for the award of the Russian Film Academy "Nika" as "the best picture of the CIS and the Baltics".
On Navruz, viewers will also be introduced to the work of Ainur Askarov, a talented director from Bashkiria. The program from his short films is: the hilarious comedy "Enmesh" ("Assertive") about a boy from a remote village in Bashkiria, the documentary film "Bitter honey" about the world's most famous Bashkir brand and the hard work of a bortnik and the adaptation of the Bashkir legend "Let the wind take my words away ".
In "Navruz" Tajikistan will present the film "Air Safar" by Daler Rakhmatov - a funny sitcom, about how a balloon with a French traveler on board was carried into a mountain village. The program will be completed by a joint film by the Estonian and Kyrgyz filmmakers "Farewell Tours" - a story about the six-year-old Sayfulla - the youngest rope-walker in the world, an artist of the Kamilov family circus. The boy had every chance to become a real star and even get into the Guinness Book of Records, but his father's prohibition on continuing his career put an end to these dreams.
Days of national cinema, previously held under the motto "The Unseen Distances", for the first time coincide with Navruz. Let them become a tradition, and the audience will share the joy of the coming of spring!
