In February 2018, the Ministry of Culture of Russia will discuss preparations for a folklore festival in Bashkortostan

In Moscow, Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan Salavat Sagitov met with Deputy Minister of Culture of Russia Alexander Zhuravsky, during which the preparations for the 6th World Folklore were discussed.

 
The festival of folklore creativity will be held in Bashkortostan from July 18 to August 1, 2020. Russia takes the festival for the first time.
 
In September 2018, Ufa will host the 48th World Congress of CIOFF and the General Assembly of the International Council of Folklore and Traditional Art Festivals. It is expected that approximately 200 representatives of the CIOFF national sections from 60 countries will participate.
 
"The Ministry of Culture of Russia is interested in carrying out the Folklory at a high organizational level. It was decided to hold an extended meeting in the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation for the preparation and holding of the festival in February 2018. During the meeting we outlined the agenda of the meeting and discussed the issues of financing from the federal center"? - commented Salavat Sagitov.
